God is real and hears your prayers.

Almost a month ago I left my retainer at a friend's house in Denver. My wisdom teeth started coming in over the summer...a lot. They started showing and I was teething for like two months straight. When I lost my retainer I really started freaking out that  my teeth were going to get really crooked and that when I got my retainer back it wouldn't fit anymore. My friend sent my retainer (along with a few other things I left with it) that Monday. I didn't get it at all that week. I didn't get it the next week... She said she had sent it, I checked that I gave her the right address, but still I hadn't got it. I only live 3 1/2 hours from her so I knew it wasn't the distance that was making it take so long. If I didn't know better I would have thought that it was long gone...mixed in with the other million packages that are lost by the postal service everyday. But like I said, I knew better. I never felt like it was gone. I prayed so hard. I can't even say that enough, I prayed SO hard that my retainer would find it's way back to me. That sounds like a dramatic choice of words but I was desperate. I never gave up and I never felt like maybe Heavenly Father didn't hear me. I always knew that it was going to be okay. Things are so much easier when you remember that things are going to be okay. Oh I forgot to mention, my wisdom teeth stopped pushing the surface and I stopped feeling any pain at all from them.

Yesterday my friend called me...the package was sent back to her house!!! I am sooo thankful! I know my Father in Heaven heard me and I know that he was working on getting it found every night when I would pray that I would get it back. I know a lot of people may say that it was a coincidence and that it would have made it back even if I wouldn't have had the faith that it would, but I know that's not true here. God knows my heart and even though he has a lot bigger things to worry about than me losing my retainer, what matters to me, matters to him. And I am so grateful for that. Well that's my story for today. I would be lost without my Heavenly Father and he is real.

Love,
Kelli
