I have experienced so many new things in the last month. It's been a lot of fun and I have learned so much! I got to spend a lot of time with Tyler in May, which was perfect because between track and school I was unbelievably stressed out. He came home with me and then we flew to Colorado and stayed at his house for a few days. It was the funnest trip ever! Tyler's whole family was there and I'm so glad I was able to meet all of them. While I was there I got to brand a baby calf, which I didn't really enjoy that much... :( and then I ear tagged one!

In the airport before going to Colorado. On the way there I got to sit by him and its a good thing too because it was windy and the turbulence was bad. AKA Kelli freaking out. Pretty sure this is where my airplane phobia began...
Tyler, Taylor, Alyssa, and I all went to the zoo! It was fun because I haven't been there in a while. I think the last time I went LeAnn and I rode a Camel! That was fun but that was not an option this time. It's weird because when you're little going to the zoo is an all day thing, but because we are all older (and we didn't have any small children) we were in and out within like 4 hours, if that. After that Taylor and Alyssa went to Boba and Ty and I went to Olo to get some froyo. mmm :) I wish Shannae hadn't been in school because then she would have came with us.

In the car on our second date :) We went to glow in the dark Putt-Putt and then we went to Japanese Kitchen. It was was so much fun! I used to not like putt-putt, but I think I like it now lol and Japanese Kitchen was amazing! I think it's better when you have enough people in your group to fill a whole table though, so you're not sitting with random people. The people we sat with were not very friendly but its okay! The Chef juggled knives and made an onion volcano (which is my favorite part)! Then after that I told Tyler that I wanted to dance so we went to a parking lot and opened the doors and danced. It was so much fun! There was a business next to the parking lot and there was a guy still there working and he took a few trips to the trash can and every time he walked by he would stare at us and it was really funny, only a little embarrassing. Then we went to Coldstone and got a big tub of birthday cake remix and it started raining! Anyways, super awesome.

Ah, the temple. :) This night was awesome because Taylor and Tyler are two of my favorite people and I feel really lucky when I get to spend time with them both. We were originally going to meet Alyssa for a play in Albq but once we got there we were way too late and they were pretty much sold out anyway. Taylor took us to this wall downtown with a bunch of graffiti and we got out and walked down this long alley and looked at all the walls. At the end Taylor was like "I don't remember it being this lame" haha that made me laugh but it was still pretty cool. After that we went to the Temple and took some pictures. It was so beautiful and I felt so peaceful there. (Like I always do :)) Then after that we went to Dions. mmm. And I got a chocolate chip cookie.
We went to the Isotopes game! They won by one run in the 10th inning. I got BBQ nachos AND we got Kettle Corn. It was fun!
The next part of this blog should probably be its own blog but I already put all the pictures on here so here it goes.
PART II
May 25th to May 30th
I arrived in DC (after a few scary flights. That probably weren't even that scary but I'm a baby on airplanes) on Friday the 25th! Dylan and Olivia's step mom, Steph, picked me up. Dulles is kind of a confusing airport but eventually we found our way out. This is us on our first night all together! I love them both so much.
On Saturday we went to DC. It was SO crowded because of Memorial Day weekend. I don't know why we didn't think about that until we saw the millions of motorcycles. We went to the American History Museum, a little bit of the Holocaust Museum, and then just walked around a bit. Two of my favorite things that were in the American History Museum were the Sunstone and a baseball signed by Babe Ruth. I got a picture of them both! The Sunstone was apart of the original Nauvoo Temple and I'd never seen it before. It was really cool. :)
On Sunday we flew to New York. It was very early in the morning and we couldn't check into our hotel until 3 in the afternoon. We walked around Times Square the whole time. We were all running off 2 or 3 hours of sleep so we spent most of this day trying to stay positive. Once we got to check in we took a three hour nap and then ordered pizza. Then we went back to sleep until 10 the next morning. haha and we all thought we weren't going to get sleep...
Monday! This is by far my favorite day. We woke up and got ready and then took the metro down to South Ferry. We got on a ferry that took us around to see the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty. We saw the 9-1-1 memorial and the new World Trade Center, which was really cool. Its crazy to be somewhere like that. I can't even imagine how chaotic it was on 911, its hectic already.
After that, we rode the metro to the Empire State Building. This was my favorite part of the whole trip! Someday I want to go back at night and see all the lights! :) Since you can't see the stars in the sky :(

Tuesday: Central Park! We all took turns wearing my awesome sun hat. I don't know why we didn't get a picture of Olivia wearing it! Probably because she wouldn't let us haha
Anyways we didn't get to stay in Central Park that long because we had to rush to the airport after our flight got cancelled and delayed....and yeah it was a mess. It was rainy in DC (where we were flying back to) and it was starting to rain in New York so we weren't sure if we were even going to be able to fly out. They ended up rerouting the flight we got changed and it added on about an hour. Needless to say it was a scary flight. I wouldn't have made it without Dylan and Olivia.
Dylan and I both flew out Wednesday morning to come home! I was so relieved to be back in New Mexico ON THE GROUND. I got back at noon and drove straight to the pool for work.
No place like home :)
Love,
Kelli <3
