I'm So Not Good At Writing Blogs
Dear Cami and sometimes Shelby,
Sorry I took so long....haha I'm just kiddin....maybe...perhaps....someone else is reading this? So welcome to you, too!
July 5th already huh? How can that be? I don't want summer to end. I love summer. There's so many good things about summer. Why can't it be summer all year long? It's probably one of those things that we can't have all the time because then we'll start taking it for granted. So I guess I just solved life; winter comes so we can appreciate summer. That's nice.
My wint....I was gonna say my winter. What the heck?
My neck hurts really bad. I don't know why. I think it's from lifting. I'm not good at lifting. I suck at lifting, but I have gotten so much better! I squatted 235 pounds on Monday and that's pretty dang good if I do say so myself.
You know what? I pretty much know nothing. It's like the more I learn the more I don't know. People are crazy and I'm weird. I also don't like being in debt. Why can't we have a barter system? I'm just kidding. I know why we cant have a barter system. I did watch the film in Ms.Hayes' yes.
I'm not a very good texter, I'm really not. Sometimes I just don't care. I mean I care about people but texting takes up a lot of time that I don't have much extra of. I think one call to get to the point sometimes is much better. But sometimes it's not. Like I said, I'm weird.
I'm sorry this blog isn't even interesting. I know what I can talk about.... I can talk about how much I love swimming. I get to compete this weekend for the first time in two years! I'm really nervous :/ but it will be fun. :)
When I get older I'm pretty positive I'm going to own my own pool. Not as big as the high school pool, but big enough so I can have water aerobics, swim lessons, and water therapy. You know, just the fun stuff. Life is really cool. I'm glad I'm starting to enjoy it again, ha! :D
Anyways, I love you people. All you people, but I know for certain Camille and Shelb are reading this so I love you Camille and Shelby Lynn. :)
Remember, Life is to be enjoyed not endured! (but it's supposed to be endured, too...?)
Love,
Kelli

Defying Gravity
I saw this the other day from the parking lot. Haha it's so random.
Speaking of purple hair. LeAnn bought some dye because she wanted to dye some purple into her hair. Purple is her favorite color. Well by the time we got home from wal-mart and everywhere else we had gone that night it was really late and we just went to sleep. I was just going to do her hair the next day. I woke up and the box was open and it was everywhere. It kind of looked like it exploded but you could tell that someone had to have opened it. I was confused for a while but then LeAnn woke up and I wasn't confused anymore. Apparently, she couldn't sleep and she got up at like 3 in the morning and did her hair.
.....Pretty sure she was like half asleep when she did it haha but I give her props for trying! Oh, I put some purple in my hair, too. Not a lot, you probably can't tell but it's there.
This weekend I was able to go to the temple! I haven't been able to go in probably around 4 years. It was so amazing. There is no greater place on this earth. The feelings that are felt there are so incredible and I am so blessed. <3
I LOVE the New Mexico Temple. It is so beautiful.
Hannah got to go, too. :) She is so wonderful. My mom met us at there! I was so happy she was able to go! She didn't think she was going to be able to because she was going to watch my brother play tennis. (He won district by the way!-He rocks)
After the Temple my mom took us to the mall. The mall is so amazing after you live in Alamosa, CO. I got boba and Hannah tried it, too! She loved it just like I do. :) There were these really cute shoes at Aldo and when school gets out My mama and I are going to get them! I love how she loves shoes like me. haha
Hannah is SO fun! We laugh ALL the time. On the way back up here we sang to The Wicked Soundtrack. Cami, lets go watch Wicked as soon as we can?
This is my favorite Wicked song....so far. :)
I drove my dad's car up here. He is so nice for letting me use it! I'm thankful that my parents are willing to sacrifice a car so I could have one up here. They are my favorite. It started snowing. A LOT. It's May 1st! I want sun, where is summer? I can't wait to go back to New Mexico. For a long time.
Soon :)
Well, I'm gonna go have some cereal.
Well, I'm gonna go have some cereal.

Back to my roots, my baby roots.
Today after work and classes, I lifted with Mel and then went to the field and hit with some of the girls. We have testing tomorrow, and Friday, and Saturday....NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO. I just don't think it makes any sense....spring season is over? He saw us all play? Why do you we need to test? It's hard testing, too, lots of running. I will be sure to almost die a few times.
After that Mel, Whit, and I went on a very slow 2 mile jog. It was great. I love those girls. :) Then, Lan and I went to chili's. That was fun! I love going places with Lan and talking to her. We're lucky to have each other here. It's nice to have someone that knows your past and...well, roots. After that we went to wal-mart and we got a bunch of air freshener stuff for the room and bathroom because honestly, I'm obsessed with stuff that smells good. I bought some stuff for my roommate Kahua because she is sick. :( Hopefully she will be better by tomorrow. I made her eat soup, drink gatorade, drink theraflu, and take some nyquil. Yeah I drugged her up! Responsibly tho :) Oh, I also gave her like 6 vitamin C pills and put her to bed.
So now, I am here in my room with Lewby. We just finished our baby food. We also got that whilst we were at wal-mart. And like I said on my twitter, I won't leave it any anybody's truck this time.
I think I'm gonna do some Abs and then go to sleep. I'm sweeepy.
I hope you had a great day. :)

Kelli

Untitled.
Hi everyone!
Today was a wonderful day filled with math problems, laundry, and wal-mart.
Today was a wonderful day filled with math problems, laundry, and wal-mart.
I did Brave's laundry, too. (see his shorts above) His outfit is so outdated, I really need to go take him to get some new clothes.
LeAnn got really sad today. She said she felt like she was missing out on things by being away at college. It's so easy to feel like that. To slip into this state of mind that staying at home would be better than moving away. Home is so easy. You know everything. Being away is hard. Life is hard.
But if you think back in your life to everything that has ever meant anything, hard times came before the point where you realized it was all worth it.
I'm hoping this whole college experience will hold true to that as well.
I bought a bunch of new songs the other day. I LOVE new music! :)
It makes me happy.
This song is called "Hey Lauren" by Rookie of the Year.
It's really good. Rookie of the Year's music seems to always be kinda sad, but I like it a lot.
Orlando used to always ask me why I listened to sad songs if they make me sad. I don't know why I do. I feel like I used to listen to sad songs that relate to my life so I knew I wasn't alone and crazy for feeling that way, that the Artist made it through that hard time and so can I. And then I listened to sad songs so that I could feel something because I was tired of being empty and numb. And now I only listen to some of those sad songs because I used to like 'em or they randomly come up on my ipod and I don't change them because I'm okay. I don't feel a constant sting when I listen to songs that remind me of sad times because I know that things are okay.
Welp, I know this wasn't interesting but it's something. Hope everyone had a great day!
Oh hey I forgot, today this guys at sonic gave me his number. haha After he asked me if I was high.
Just because I'm weird, outgoing, and loud doesn't mean I'm high people, even if it was 4-20.
I hate how 4-20 is now all about smoking pot. There's is so many other influential, powerful things that happened on April 20th.
I watched a special on Columbine the other day for no reason. Just because I wanted to. It made me real careful about how I treat people. Everyone matters. No one more than anyone else. It also made me scared to death.
I talked to my mom one time about how there were so many times where bad things could have happened to be when I was little, and even today. She told me that Heavenly Father protects us if we allow him to. She was so right. I feel an invisible shield around me, protecting me when I'm living the way I know I should be. And if something bad happens, I don't doubt my Heavenly Fathers protection or love for me. I know that there is a purpose for every trial and tragedy. He loves us and as long as I have my father in Heaven, I'll have safety.

Kelli

You Make Me Feel Alive...
Iowa is for soccer players.
......well this weekend it was. Haha I kept calling It Ohio. So I kept thinking of this Hawthorne Heights Song.
So Anyways, yeah we didn't go to Ohio. We were in Iowa and It was freezing! For some reason I thought Nebraska and Iowa were supposed to be warm. It was probably like 10 degrees when we were playing our night game. I love playing under the lights, it's probably one of my favorite things ever.
We stepped out of the locker room and I felt my face go numb. It was so cold, a pure cold that isn't here in Alamosa because in Alamosa we have wind. There was a slight breeze but mainly the air was just frozen. We started to run out to the field when coach yells, "wait come here, get in a circle". I love this moment...
We get in as close as we can, putting our arms around each other and everyone goes quiet. I look up and my coach is looking at me, he nods his head. I start to pray and I hope the words are coming out right because my chin is so numb by this point. "...in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
In unison I here my team say "Amen". I love that. I love hearing that they support what I said and I can't help but feel that I gave them an extra little boost of confidence to go into this game.
We won 4-0 against Northwestern, coach's old team. We were so excited. He promised us pie if we won, which now that I think about it we never got....Anyways, he got us back in the circle to calm us down and lipped out "Thank you!"
It's moments like this that make me think that off season, and all those many times I nearly died, running 16 miles a week, and waking up at 5 15 in the morning are actually worth it. Worth this feeling....
Maybe. I'm still trying to figure it out.
We stuffed into two vans. For 13 hours....needless to say, I wasn't very comfortable, but it was fun being with the girls.
Whit & I
We stopped at Jimmy Johns in Monument, CO and I saw this sign on the wall...
It says "If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them, then someday, you can do the things you want when you want to do them."
This is such a perfect, dead on piece of advice. All good things come through discipline and obedience. This also made me think of soccer. How if I get through all this hard work.... eventually i'll get to do something I want? I don't know. Something like that.
My Dad, Mom, and Shannae came up to watch us play Colorado Christian last week. I love when I get to see my family. :) Look how cool Shannae is in this picture. She is so awesome and clever. It makes me sad that because I don't live at home anymore I'll miss a lot of her growing up. Same thing with Cam and Tay... it just goes to show you how important eternity is and to have that as one of your goals. I want to live with them forever, it's so vital I live my life worthy of that.
LeAnn is so funny. I hear her voice from the bathroom and she's like "Oh No!...ahhhhh". Like so sad about to cry and I go in the bathroom and this is what I find.
She was so distraught. "What am I gonna dooo?? Oh no....." and I just bust out laughing. It was so funny. Eee that girl is too much sometimes. She makes me laugh. I took her glasses out and lysol-ed them for her. :) Silly girl.
I can't believe it almost the end of the semester. I can't wait for lifeguarding and to get some sun! Mostly, I just can't wait to be home. Also, my sister is graduating on her birthday July 22nd. :) Lucky girl. She is the greatest. :) Taylor is graduating high school! I can't believe that. He's so big now and he's taller than me! He is the best brother. I love him so much. I miss being near him. Even though we never talked that much anyway....I just love him.
Happy April 17th :)
My dad's birthday is tomorrow,
Happy Birthday Dada, I love you so much. :)
Oh yeah and my mom got a new car!
I haven't seen it get but I'm assuming it looks something like this.
Bye, Mercy!
Anyway, I hope everyone had a lovely, spiritual Sunday.
Love,
Kelli :)
